A Note On Slavery and the Decision to Remove Lillian Gish’s Name by Bowling Green University’s Theatre

According to the article linked above Bowling Green University has discriminated against its alumna the great actress Lillian Gish by erasing her name from the campus theatre honoring her because some Black students objected to her appearance in D.W. Griffith’s great movie The Birth of a Nation for racist reasons.  The movie was one of the greatest cinematic achievements.  It dealt with the period of American history known as Reconstuction.  That period has been one of the most, if not the most, distorted periods in US history.

Reconstruction began when President Abraham Lincoln was murdered by Abolitionist fanatics because he wouldn’t treat Southern Whites as subhumans and submit them to subhuman and barbaric measures.  Instead he wished to treat the war as a misunderstanding and wished to reintegrate the South into the Union which he had so ardently and with so much bloodshed wished to preserve.

Having removed the President the fanatics did impose draconian measures on the Southern Whites which elevated the Blacks over them essentially making the Whites slaves and putting the Blacks’ foot on their neck.  This situation would have continued well beyond 1877 but for the reestablishment of sanity by President Hayes.

The criminal period of Reconstruction was well remembered by Southern Whites.  The most prominent voice of the Southern view of this history was the novelist Thomas W. Dixon Jr..  Today the Left and David Walsh, the writer of this article, condemn Dixon as a terrible racist.  For the Left the term racist is a catch all for anyone of whom they disapprove much like the old Conservative catch all, Communist.  The term racist should be treated by all reasonable people the same way.

Dixon was not a racist, he was a competent writer and capable historian.  He was an ardent anti-Communist after the 1917 Revolution when US Commies began the attacks to discredit all writers who refused to follow the Party line.  Twenty years of defamation later Thomas Dixon’s reputation was destroyed.

Hodding Carter in his history of Reconstruction of 1959 titled it The Angry Scar. And so it was and is.  Reconstruction did not end in 1877 it was merely interrupted.  It re-emerged after 1954 and the Supreme Court decision Brown vs. The Board of Education and continues ferociously today.

The movie Birth of a Nation was an attempt to heal that Angry Scar.  It attempted to present the real, the true, story of Reconstruction and the real reason for the creation of the first Ku Klux Klan.

There are those who, for whatever reason, wish to distort that history and complete the destruction of Southern Whites and, indeed, Conservatives in general, who they see as sub-human, that President Lincoln wished to prevent.  These people are now known as the Lunatic Left.  They are a racist bunch favoring Black Supremacy.

Thus, their condemnation of Lillian Gish on the insane charge that she accepted a role in the movie and then subsequently did not condemn it or Thomas Dixon, David Wark Griffith and The Birth of a Nation.  There is nothing to condemn in any of the three.  There is much to condemn in Communism and Communists and anyone who speaks well of it and them.

While we can never put the past behind us it is important to maintain a balanced view of what our ancestors endured to the best of their abilities.  Yes, slavery is a terrible thing, then and now, and the attitude is resurfacing on the Left.

Agricultural slavery which not only Negroes endured but also Whites, both worked cheek by jowl in the fields in the early days of Negro importations, was benign and even beneficial compared to the industrial slavery endured by workers in the North.

In addition, there was no slavery more horrid than that endured by English mine workers in nineteenth century England.  Yes, we should and must condemn slavery and curse the legacy not only of agricultural slavery but industrial slavery in all forms, whether endured by the Black race, the White race or any other race.

Let’s get something straight about the different forms of slavery that have existed in the United States.  In the first place no one has clean hands, just as in Africa, even Negroes had slaves in the US and elsewhere in the New World, even in Haiti.  Whites owned chattels in the South, Northern Whites mined Europe to work in their factories as wage slaves to keep labor costs minimal.

Slavery in the US, other than sex slavery that is still tolerated today, had three forms:  chattel slavery, indentured slavery and wage slavery.

Indentured slavery was part and parcel of US history from its very beginning.  Indentured slavery was White men ‘owning’ White people according to contract.  A person for whatever reason indentured himself for a period of years after which he was supposed to be freed.  There were many ways for his master to increase the period.  During the period of his indenture he was another man’s slave.  At the same time adults and children were shanghaied from the streets of London and England for sale in the colonies.

These Whites usually described as indentured ‘servants’ were slaves in fact.   Many, many indentured ‘servants’ worked cheek by jowl with the Negro chattel slaves in the fields.  In that manner White women bore many Negro children thus diluting the African blood.

Chattel slavery of Negroes was legal in every English colony, there were no exceptions.  In certain States such as Massachusetts and Connecticut chattel slavery was not commercially viable and it fell into disuse.  After 1812 Chattel slavery was discontinued at varying times by the various States.   Chattel slavery existed in Northern States nearly to the beginning of the Civil War.  Nor did the Emancipation Proclamation pertain to any chattel slaves in slave holding States that were not in rebellion.  Thus, only Negro slaves in the deep South were affected by Emancipation.

Now, just as chattel slavery was not viable in States like Massachusetts and Connecticut it did not suit the manufacturing economy of the North otherwise chattel slavery would have existed North of the Mason-Dixon line.

The basis of slavery was providing the producers with labor.  Slavery was a labor problem.  In the agricultural South, especially in the cotton belt, slavery was the best labor mode possible because the laborers were tied to the land and couldn’t migrate.

Providing for the slaves was the Producers responsibility, hence food, clothing and shelter was provided as a cost of doing business.  There were no Negro chattel slaves that went hungry.  Conditions might vary but the slaves had to be cared for.  If you read in the Negro slave narratives, available on the Internet, you will be amazed at what you find.

One ex-slave didn’t regret slavery that much because he said the you never went hungry in those days.  If wanted food you culled a hog from herd, killed it, roasted it and ate it.  Whether that was universal or not the chattel slaves did not go hungry or unclothed.

In the North where producers wanted labor at the lowest possible cost they had to resort to wage slavery.  The industrialists worked their wage slavery.  The industrialists worked their wage slave harder than any chattel slave.  The wage slaves worked in horrible conditions for twelve hour a day seven day a week for a pittance.  The wage slavers provided nothing but that pittance.  Where possible they resorted to using children, young children, and women and paid them even less than a pittance.

The wage slaves then were on their own lookout for food, clothing and shelter.  All those indefensible shanty towns.  In all cases they were less well off than the Agricultural slaves.  The Negroes definitely had it better.

While the chattel slaves were required by law to a certain level of benevolence, the wage slave had no protections whatever.   If in desperation they resisted exploitation by trying to organize they were shot down dead.  They were blacklisted and were unemployable.  Hence a reason for armies of hoboes roaming the land.

The ‘Saints’ from New England, the Holy Abolitionists whose sea captains bought in Africa and sold in the New World, that is North and South America and the Caribbean were also those who sought cheap White labor from European countries.  The principle was to have as many different nationalities and languages as possible in order to make it difficult to combine for better wages and working conditions.  Slavery was slavery and conditions were harsher for wage slaves than for chattel slaves.

Thus Negroes have no more to complain about than Whites.  Slavery was part of the woof and warp of the fabric of American society.

Lincoln freed certain of the slaves in 1860 and then came Henry Ford to ameliorate the conditions of the wage slaves.  Lincoln was murdered for his role in ending chattel slavery and Henry Ford has been a victim of horrible character assassination for his role in ameliorating wage slavery.  Most likely the reason that good men are hard to find.

The Union is disintegrating. As Abraham Lincoln said the Union cannot stand half slave and half free but he also believed the Union couldn’t exist half White and half Negro. A hundred fifty years hence that understanding of reality has come to pass.

Adolf Hitler in his despairing days in the bunker before the defeat of the Third Reich, grasping at straws, opined that as no other multi-cultural State had ever survived the hodge podge of the US was living on borrowed time. He too was correct although premature in his expectations of its demise. The Soviet troops arrived before doomsday USA.

But now, today, both predictions have come true. While we were all more concerned with our stashes rather than keeping our eyes on the bouncing ball, Whites fled almost all the major cities letting Negroes become the majority race in them. Thus with few exceptions the major cities are all majority Negro having become African colonies, seceded in all but name.

Thus, within a few years, the US will become an Afro-centric country rather than a Euro-centric one. African mores will prevail I expect within a very few elections, I suspect that fully fifty percent of Congressional seats will be held by Negroes, both male and female, White and other females will hold at least thirty percent with other races holding five to ten percent with the pitiful remainder going to White males.

As Hitler gloated on his electoral success, democracy will have triumphed and as with Hitler’s success will be ended.

While Whites talk of setting up independent White territories Negroes have acted and so have their Jewish allies; both are block voting Democrats.
An interesting article in the April 28, 2013 New York Magazine titled Them And Them by one Benjamin Wallace-Wells, Jewish despite the name, details the virtual secession of Rockland County New York by Hasidic Jews. While complaining about being ghettoized the Jews have always chose to huddle thus appearing as invaders and colonizers rather than immigrants. This was most conspicuous in the post WWII invasion of the Hasidim. In this case the Hasidic Jews occupied the town of East Ramapo in Rockland County. Once in possession US laws have been supplanted by Jewish law, not unlike what the Semitic Moslems are attempting to do with their own Sharia law, as one may say, as an Israeli overseas outpost.

According to Wallace-Wells the Hasids are extremely inbred producing a very high level of mentally defective children. As a self contained foreign unit on US soil, for a while the Hasids were able to finance the liability but as the number of defects apparently mushroomed the Hasidic Jews found that they could no longer do so.

Being the majority population of Rockland County, as Negroes are the majority of large US cities, the matter could be handled ‘democratically’ a la Hitler, that is to say the Jews elected themselves to county positions thus expanding their base of operations from East Ramapo to the whole county. Once in charge they just began to financially rape the majority, as the Negroes and Jews are doing to the US, for their own, as it were, personal use.

When the non-Jews objected the then school president, one Daniel Schwartz, representing the Jewish idea of democracy told the rest of the county point blank: “You don’t like it? Find another place to live.” In other words, love it or leave it. The Jewish love of minorities had evaporated.

Another wise old Talmudic Jew turned the situation into a case of, well, what else?, anti-Semitism. Yehuda Weissmandl the school board vice president whined: “People can’t stand that this community has turned out to be what it has turned out to be. They want to see us gone because I have a yarmulke on my head.”

An obtuse one he; you object to financial rape and you’re an anti-Semite. Well, we know how that one works.

The point however is that the beloved Union of Lincoln has been torn asunder as Rockland County has effectively seceded from the Union. It’s a Jewish principality now and if you don’t like as Daniel Schwartz says: Eat it!

This secession situation currently in its early, or at least unrecognized state, is bound to accelerate into hundreds of no go areas. Southern California for instance. The Jews and Negroes are going to create their own legal code as they secede so what is holding Whites back from doing the same? I’ll answer, the failure to accept the lesson of 9/11/01 that the present became the past while the future would evolve from that present. It was a new world requiring a new response to ‘multi-culturalism.’ Unfortunately we were ill led by the idiot president George Bush- The Great Decider.

Our task then is to accept that what was is no longer and that we have to deal with that reality to create our future; to hell with everyone else. Multi-culturalism is dead. Nothing with us has changed internally, our ideals are intact but the union of the United States is now divided at present into three countries, Negroes, Jews and Aryans with Mexicans and Chinese waiting in the wings for their share.

If we do nothing we end up dead or slaves so my suggestion is that we do something. And do it beginning today.
