Immigration, Al Smith And The 1928 Election

Immigration, Al Smith, And The 1928 Election

by

R.E. Prindle

People don’t seem to realize that time and changes pass quickly.  What was applicable yesterday will not apply to today or tomorrow.  Nothing changes society more rapidly than immigration.  While attention is applied to race and religion it might better be applied to manners and mores.  Whether you think immigration is good or bad immigration changes reality very quickly while all one’s reactions are predicated on a vanished state of affairs.

The cultural changes, that is manners and mores had been occurring at a rapid rate during the nineteenth century and early twentieth century driven by immigration.  By 1921 and 1924 unlimited indiscriminate immigration had been limited to more or less controllable numbers.  Nevertheless the damage had been done.  While the attempt was made to limit the most different mores and manners by favoring Northern European immigrants it was too late.  The two chief groups of immigrants, the Irish and the Jews had acculturated enough to challenge the traditional  English and Protestant supremacy.

Thus, led by Al Smith, a Catholic Irishman who surrounded himself with Jews the two nationalities were ready to challenge the Anglo-Protestant majority.  Note that the Jews are considered a distinct nationality with their own manners and mores acting in their own interests. He, Al, or they chose the inappropriate moment to challenge the Anglo-Protestant majority as the country was in a period of roaring prosperity, had two presidents, Harding and Coolidge and were to be followed by Herbert Hoover who in the circumstances there was no chance of defeating.  And so it was that Herbert Hoover became the last ‘American’ president.  Hoover was followed by Roosevelt to whom the Jews transferred their alliance while the Irish were forgotten.  Thus the Liberal  and Jewish combination have written all histories and distorted the old American contribution to founding the US.

Now, in the 1928 election the Jewish-Irish faction could not accept their loss on any other grounds than the bigotry of Anglo-American voters.  In fact, Al Smith was merely a New York City machine politician who, used to campaigning in New York chose as his theme song ‘The Streets of New York’ and spoke with a heavy New York City accent.  His manners and mores were those of his home town.  To the rest of the country those manners and mores were humorous.

The New York accent alone would have made him unpalatable to the rest of Americans who thought that NYC had an economic stranglehold on America.  And then the to thrust The Streets of New York into their faces was sheer folly.

Being Catholic, of course, didn’t help Al with the Protestants but it surely was a charm for the Catholics who were the largest religious denomination in America.  But there appears to have been no block voting along religious lines.  The Economy ruled.

Whether Al’s Irish background swung the electorate against him is open to conjecture but I would put more weight behind that than the religion.  At that point, 1928, there was still a strong antipathy between the Anglos and the Irish.  Even in 1956 in my home town the antipathy was noticeable.  Apart from Jack Kennedy’s being a Democrat and offensive because of his father’s criminal background his Catholicism and nationality was a factor in my voting against him in 1960.  The Irish came over to what they call the New Island in large numbers during the potato famine in Ireland in the eighteen forties and beyond.  There was immediately a huge conflict between them and the Anglos in which bloody battles were fought largely aggravated by the Irish.  Thus the Irish-English conflict was carried to American shores.

With the Irish came the notion that immigrants rights were superior to nativist rights.  Hence the political organization known as the Know Nothing Party that arose to oppose Irish violence was demonized out of existence for its efforts to protect American manners and mores and some kind of control of their destiny.  They lost that control as the Irish formed a sort of competing government called Tammany that seized control of NYC and retained it until Jimmy Walker the last Tammany mayor was booted out of the country in the early thirties.  It was as though the Irish had control of London.

The Irish were then replaced by the Jews who seized both NYC and New York State.  As an immigrant group, the Jews, although the smallest national supplier of immigrants also came as the highest percentage of their nation and thus had equality of numbers with the other national immigrants.  There were more Jews in NYC than in any other city of the world.  The only place with a higher number was the Russian Pale of the Settlement that covered millions of square acres.

The vast majority of Jews arrived from 1890 to 1914.  Like the Irish the Jews created a national enclave, or colony, in NYC.  By 1913 they were able to effect a socialist revolution by electing Woodrow Wilson as presidient.  This revolution, for such it was, has been unrecognized by Jewish and Liberal historians but the Wilson Administration, turned out in 1920, after a hiatus of the twelve years of the Republican Interregnum would morph into the fully fledged socialist presidency of Franklin Roosevelt beginning in 1932 and ending only with his death in 1945.  Thus Roosevelt was the undeclared president for life.

So, Al Smith represented the end of Irish dominance in the affairs of NY and the hope of national dominance in a Jewish-Irish coalition.  If that attempt had succeeded immigrants would have seized control of the United States of America.  An entire new set of manners and mores would have replaced those of the original settlers.  Immigration has adverse consequences like it or not.

While there was a conflict then between the Catholic and Protestant religions and between the English and Irish and Jewish nationalities the election itself was determined on the basis of extreme economic prosperity that Republicans could claim as their own and, indeed, it was called the Coolidge Prosperity after the middle Republican president of the Interregnum- Harding, Coolidge, Hoover.

Then came the deluge.  Collectivism replaced Individualism and Socialism replaced Laissez-faire, which had been the system of the nineteenth century Gilded Age.  A new set of manners and mores appeared based on an immigrant ideal with its symbol of Ellis Island.
A similar transition is occurring today.

Election Strategies

Election Strategies

by

R.E. Prindle

It is time to develop election strategies here on the grass roots level.  There is no reason to leave matters up to the RNC which has proven itself singularly incapable.  Obviously the key issue is immigration.  The key point there is that we have more ‘new citizens’ than we can assimilate.  The ‘new people’ have been elected.  All our resources both human and material are fully stressed.  Stressed to the breaking point.

While the Wall is important and should still be pressed it is also useful to present other talking points.  One might be the example of a balloon that can only hold so much air before it bursts.  We being at the point where one more puff of immigrants will burst the balloon.

Another might be that of a cake that when baked to perfection must be removed from the oven lest it burn and shrivel.  The lesson being that immigration has reached that level where more baking will be destructive.

And then there’s that good one- think of the children and their future.  What sort of conditions are we creating for them?

Any such point can be introduced without jeopardizing your job or standing- or worse.  One says merely that while one has no quarrel with immigration per se, one is worried because….  That will keep you on the safe side.

Doubt must be sown among the least dogmatic of the Libs.

Write your Congressman, local TV newscasters or even national newscasters.  Submit them to a barrage.  Make your opinion known; use different names and addresses.  Maybe the ‘Russians’ will pitch in and help.  Who knows?

Now is the time to act.

President Trump At Davos

President Trump At Davos:

The Changing Tides Of Time

By

R.E. Prindle

President Trump attended the Davos conference, one imagines, to set the contemporary business men’s minds at ease.  If they recognized it he was advising them of the end of an era.  The United States of the seventy year Liberal consensus is over.  The US will no longer give itself away wholesale.

It will no longer be the patsy of the world, giving without receiving, propping up every two bit economy with our bounteous millions  or billions.  No!  The US will begin to look out for itself.  Times have changed; the post-war world has disappeared and a new age is dawning that requires a different strategy.

The US has been propping up the world since the civilizational Time of Troubles began in 1914.  It rescued Europe from itself  and thereby Western Civilization first during the European thirty years war from 1914-45 and through the subsequent seventy years of disturbances of the emerging culture after the dissolution of the colonial empires and the revival of the Moslem holy wars and their bid to conquer the world.

President Trump is an odd mix of conservative realism and Liberal utopianism.  For some reason he maintains his daughter Ivanka and her Jewish husband Jared in some kind of sinecures in the White House.  Both are determined Liberals who would be much better employed minding the store back in NYC.

There is serious work to be done requiring reality-based minds.  One begin to have confidence in the Pres. who as he unrolls his plans give solid evidence that he is putting in place a vision that he has evolved over his decades of watching monumental mismanagement of affairs by inept politicians of both parties.  The shameful political misconduct of the Obama years is much to be regretted.

Thus, while the Pres. seems to have a firm grip of short term solutions it remains to be seen how he will address the long term actually unsolvable problems.  The long astronomical  summer of four thousand years lie ahead with its concomitant ice melt and rising sea levels.  As we should be somewhere about the equivalent of July in the Great Year temperatures will vary as they do during annual summers but they should be at mid-summer temperatures now.  They will not go on rising indefinitely.  One should expect continued ice melt of several thousand feet in Greenland and possibly in Antarctica, although ice cores there record a couple hundred thousand years in so the melt there should be relatively superficial.

The ice melt is beyond human intervention but rising seas will have to be planned for and should be on the Pres.’ back burner.  Of more immediate concern is the impossibility of civilization continuing on its current course.  The sheer volume of man made waste created every day now not only in the West but in the world will soon swamp us.  The oceans are polluted  to an unbelievable measure.  Immense areas are uninhabitable for fish as swirling Sargasso seas of floating plasticwares even obstruct navigation.  Beneath the water surface oceans of pulverized plastic waste is suspended  too heavy to float and too light to sink to the bottom.  There is not other repository for the stuff.  There was a report of killer whales confronting Arctic fishing boats in protest of diminishing food supplies from over fishing.

In the skies there are too many airplanes while with a world restored to prosperity and the enrichment of three billion Chinese, Indians and other East Asians flying will be  added to the overloading of the skies.  This must injure the atmosphere.  On land it is impossible that automobile traffic can be sustained.  How long can resources last to    build thirty, forty, fifty million cars a year?  How much land area can be devoted to traffic infrastructure without completely destroying farmlands?  How long before grid lock?

As I say, short term immediate problems are probably already solved in the President’s mind, but what plans are there for adjusting to addressing shorelines, how are transportation problems to be addressed, how are resources to be conserved or amplified- a resource such as water in light of an advancing population of millions very year.

Is anyone considering how the US is to support a population of half a billion with coastlines advancing and desiccation impending.  Isn’t it time to take action? or will we wait till the problems have no solution.

Are we to go the way of the dinosaurs?

The Continuing Saga Of Trump

The Continuing Saga Of

Trump

By

R.E. Prindle

Cry Globalism!  First the complaint against Trump was that he was an Isolationist in a Globalist world.  Now it turns out that Trump has a better understanding of Globalism than his Liberal opponents.

It would appear that what Globalism meant to Liberals was smearing a thin veneer of Nationalist Americanism over the Globe and calling it Democracy.  They appear surprised that they are being challenged by the much despised Putin of Russia.  They don’t seem to grasp that Obama has sacrificed US supremacy and that on a global playing field the US isn’t even the first among equals.

Rather than saying that Putin is entering into US politics for global reasons why not say that Russian interests conflict with American interests and in global politics they are jockeying for position no differently than Democrats and Republicans in this election.  There is no reason that an accord cannot be reached.  Trump understands what Liberals don’t; it would be better for Russia and the US to work together rather than get involved in conflict.  Of course Obama would like nothing better than to see Eastern Whites and Western Whites fight a war of annihilation that would completely destroy Western Civilization.  What was that Sixties chant:  Hey, hey, ho, ho, Western Civilization has got to go?  Do you imagine that Negroes have changed their minds?  OMG, did I say something racist?  If I did then that’s the way it must be.  Get over it!

While plumping for a war against the Russians Liberals crazily defend Moslems who are, in fact, seeking to destroy all other religions and societies that refuse to accept their god Allah.  Liberals thus by encouraging Moslems work their own destruction.

Trump sees clearly our compatibility with the Russians and our incompatibility with the Moslems.  There can be no more reasonable approach to the Moslem problem than not only barring the importation of more but the deportation of those that are here.  Obama himself if not a Moslem is sympathetic to and partial to the Moslems.  He favors them.  Everything he has done since becoming president indicates this.  He spent his formative years as a Moslem in Indonesia.  His stepfather Lolo Soetoro saw to his indoctrination.  The indoctrination seems to have taken.

Obama’s attitude will be followed by his protogee Hillary Clinton if she is elected.  It is not improbable that Obama will be the directing power, the grey eminence, behind Clinton if by mischance she is elected.  This is undoubtedly clear in political circles while surely known to Trump.

That is why the Dem-Rep Liberals fear a Trump presidency.  He is going to upset their apple cart.

It is quite possible that a Trump-Putin agenda may evolve and follow thus uniting Eastern and Western White interests into a unity to which they belong.

If Americans have any sense at all they will vote Trump.

They will vote for their own preservation.  One hopes they will forfend this racist bullcrap in which all discussions are framed.  Suicide is for losers.

Did Trump And Sanders Lose Iowa?

Did Trump And Sanders Lose Iowa?

by

R.E. Prindle

Iowa is over; the dirty tricks have begun.  Did Trump and Sanders lose Iowa?  Or was the key who counted the ballots?  Let us look at the Democratic race first.  Did Sanders lose a contest in which the vote was as tight as it gets?  One remembers the Nixon-Kennedy contest in Illinois back in 1960 that was shamelessly fraudulent.  As indicator of the same in Iowa is that a very large precinct was kept in reserve so that after the ballots were counted it could throw the election to Clinton when declared.  Sort of an ace in the hole.

Here in Oregon where I live (Portland, Multnomah County), we have two ‘heavily Liberal’ precincts that are always declared last even though we have mail-in ballots and the results can be known instantly.  These two precincts can turn any election around no matter how many votes are needed.  For instance in the first of the homosexuals bills it was losing and lost 60-40 in the State outside Multnomah County.  The bill was trailing 52-48 with all the ballots accounted for in Multnomah County save those two very, very Liberal precincts.  When they were declared the homosexual bill passed 60-40 in the whole State including Multnomah County.  Now, my friends, that is what is called veritably, an ace in the hole.

So, the withheld precinct in Iowa is apparently a universal trick and we may assume that the Insiders were playing it.  Therefore I conclude that Sanders probably beat Clinton.

Now let us go the Republican side.  Trump was leading in every single poll usually by double digits.  That toad Rubio was way down the polls, still he is the Insider water boy; they want him at any price.  As Stalin said it’s counting the votes that wins not casting the ballots.  So let us say the precinct trick might not work for a second time in this election allowing Cruz to beat Trump, even if it was used that would still leave Rubio far back in the pack with no delegates awarded.  For future elections he had to shine better than that.  He must have delegates.

Now, early balloting will give a pretty fair indication of final results.  Let us say then, that as polls indicated, Trump was leading Cruz by three or four percent.  Before the first results were posted then 5-6 percent of Trumps votes were transferred to Rubio bringing him within an ace of beating Trump while giving Cruz a 3.5 percent lead that was maintained.

Along with some other commenters I find Rubio’s 23 percent of the vote not only incredible but impossible.  The only thing we can be certain of is that Rubio can really carry that bucket.

The Insiders are so bitter toward Trump that in listing candidate results at least one showed Cruz first, Rubio second and Trump third.  We can be reasonably certain, for myself certain, that the votes were jimmied to take the election from Trump.  We can expect more in the future.

The trick now may be to keep Trump from getting the delegates necessary so that the election can be brokered at the convention.  Thus it can be assured the Waterboy is the candidate.  That will also mean that the election is a null and the Democrats will do a cakewalk to January.  Obsession is not a political virtue as the Insiders will learn.

Now is the time for all good men to come to the aid of their party.  Now is to time to create an uproar.  Remember these guys are all lawyers; they know all the dirty tricks, how and when to use them.  They know how to conceal their crimes.  Just so, we know how to expose them.  Shine a light, shine a light.  Show them no mercy.

The Insider Minority Vs. The Outsider Majority

The Insider Minority Vs. The Outsider Majority

by

R.E. Prindle

This election cycle has brought matters into high relief.  The Insiders have outed themselves exposing their actual goals.  In polls the Outsiders represent an 80% majority on issues dear to the hearts of Insiders such as immigration, homosexuality, etc.  Yet the Insiders are clever with a battery of psychologists searching for Outsider weaknesses in order to exploit us and even the odds.  It is like a rodeo rider driving the bull to lasso him and down him.

Over confident, the Insiders were shocked to find we Outsiders flocked to the putative Outsider, Donald Trump.  At least, they consider him an Outsider.  Amazed that a majority sided with their nemesis no matter what he said that they consider outrageous but that reflect the views of the majority they have stood aghast and sputtering.  In the words of the philosophers they believe their own bullshit and demand others do too.

Four debates into the primary they are bewildered but recognize their error.  Unable in these first ‘debates’ to destroy Trump they are now working to marginalize him into nothingness.

In the First Debate they tried to smash him with what they considered devastating questions apparently unaware of how Outsiders evaluate the same questions.  This backfired and they recoiled in disgust.  Their Water Boys Rubio and Bush fell to the bottom of the decad in this  absurd formatted ritual.  In the Third Debate the inquisitors roared out snarling in an effort to humiliate not only Trump but all the Outsiders while favoring the Waterboys.  They ignored the insistent boos from the audience.  Thus this ploy backfired on them once again.

As Trump had stayed ahead of them to the point of the Fourth Debate, at this point they decided to ignore him rather than spotlight him.  Grooming Rubio over Bush whose case is hopeless, they threw Marco what one commentator  called the softest of soft balls.  Rubio responded with his old canards of the American Dream, whatever that is, telling of how he was a poor immigrant child of ragged but honest parents who lived either in a log cabin or a tar paper shack and who worked their fingers to the bone to give their deserving discriminated against immigrant child a leg up.

Already somewhat bored by the Fox Financial and WSJ inquisitors I yawned through Rubio and cheered somewhat when the audience roundly booed the yoyo from Fox Financial.  Obviously the inquisitors were sent out from Insider central casting.

Even though ignored Trump played a cagey game somehow making himself the central figure through silence pulling off a coup while getting even higher poll figures this outing.

The Fifth Debate is scheduled for December 15th before the Iowa, New Hampshire and South Carolina pollings.  The Insiders had been rigging the polling to favor Trump’s only rival Ben Carson, publishing ‘polls’ in which he had surged ahead of Trump.  But then something, I know not what, happened that caused the Insiders to take the axe to Ben.  I had leery of the very likable but politically naïve Ben, the master of removing half a brain, but no talent in filling the skull with brains, and for me he destroyed himself in the Fourth.  While perhaps a brilliant surgeon that obviously does not qualify him to be president.  He would be out of his depth.

As a leading Outsider second only to Trump he is now out of it.  He can pick up his hat and go home.

Trump then has to outmaneuver the Insiders keeping himself center stage avoiding the margins.

I don’t necessarily trust Donald Trump but as he picks up his bat and heads to the plate he’s the only Casey we’ve got.  Don’t let any of those fast balls get by you Donald.  Point your bat to centerfield and do your job. Get a Brain Trust, you need it.

Republican Feys vs. Straights

by

R.E. Prindle

Well, the divide between Republicans is official.  The Feys have declared war on the Straights and their candidate Donald Trump.  He, they say, is to be shunned.  The fey Lindsey Graham has all but stated that the Fey party is merely the right wing of the Democratic Party.  The Feys have chosen as their leader Megyn Kelly.

Ms. Kelly on the recent ‘debates’ baited Mr. Trump with fact that in a personal exchange with Rosie O’ Donnell he referred to her as a ‘slut.’  This was incorrect for her to do but I notice on the Urban Dictionary site that one Sally, a very contemporary lady, defines slut as a woman with the morals of men.  Now I want you to think about this Megyn, I presume she refers to more or less indiscriminate sex as the dominate characteristic of all men.  In that sense given the sexual mores of the time that definition perhaps defines the majority of women in the West.

I would challenge Ms. Kelly to prove that she is a virgin and hence by Sally’s definition not a slut.  Failing that perhaps Ms. Kelly can show us the notches on her belt so we make our own determination of her slut status.  My fear is that it might not be pretty.  Ms. Kelly in fact by Sally’s reckoning may very well be a slut.

She sure is pretty and I don’t know whether she had a hand in formulating the questions for the ‘debate’ or not but the narrowness of the subject matter seemed to avoid the more vital questions facing the next president if Obama chooses to step down.

Whether or not women are sluts may be crucial to Ms. Kelly as perhaps she is over sensitive on the issue and maybe with reason but I would like to offer my understanding of what a slut is, so, I’m not talking about you Lindsey Graham but maybe I could.

Certain laws have been passed that impose civil disabilities on White heterosexual males making them second class citizens while protecting White male homosexuals and all White women.

White women have stood by without objection and allowed these laws to pass unquestioned.  My question to Ms. Kelly then is what kind of woman allows, nay, applauds laws that disenfranchise her men?  That’s my question to you, Megyn.  My answer is a slut, a whore to other races.  Oh, to be sure, you’ve been well paid to assume your position there at Fox.  I wouldn’t call it a piece of meat because I’m not rude but I hope you’re enjoying it.

I do ask the White women of America how they can participate  in the humiliation of their men.? It is only something sluts would do and I ask you, Megyn,  to consider the question and perhaps bring it up at your next ‘debate.’  Inquiring minds want to know.

As a note to Donald Trump:  You should make the hate laws a major issue which should get you the vote of every straight White man and at least half the women.  Why mess around with insubstantial issues when more important issues will get more votes?

The Republican Debates: War Of The Words, First Round

The First Republican Debate:
The War Of The Words

by

R.E. Prindle

The first Republican debate was a hoot, a great entertainment, real showbiz, with a wonderful caste of performers.  The good news is that the candidates intend to do something; the bad news is that that they intend to do what they aren’t doing now.  What are you supposed to think?  Nevertheless it was a really wonderful colorful show full of sound and fury, a three ring circus but alas, with no aerials.  Next time.

The highlight of the show for me was the Abbot and Costello act between Christie and Rand Paul.  Top notch.  Paul’s facials were terrific.  Great laughs.  For some reason, well, perhaps because they were shills the ringmasters all thought that Christie got the better of Rand while I though Paul humiliated Christie.  Drudge’s poll numbers seemed to confirm my impression as Paul drew a 7% favorable while Christie was weighted down with a meager 1%.  Kudos to both great standups and a huggie to each.

The main attraction in ring one was the hard punching Jack Dempsey lookalike, Battling Donald Trump.  Did it with one hand tied behind his back.  It was kind of get Donnie night; let’s see how badly we can humiliate him.   My advice is to give that up; Trump is bullet proof; he can’t be hurt.  We all know what a rotten guy he is but being rotten is just the right quality for the rotten job ahead.  We all know he’s slugged it out amongst the really big tough guys and like the former Cassius Clay he appears to be unscarred.  Lost a little hair but, what the hell?  At least he’s still on his feet and slugging.  He knows the ins and outs of tough dealing both dirty and otherwise.  Valuable knowledge in any day and age.  That’s the kind of guy we need to duke it out with the heathen Chinee.  Go get ‘em Don.  How come only Don mentioned economics?

Sex scandals are useless.  If Don hasn’t laid them all, perhaps even like Hercules, fifty a night, he’s not the man he lets on to be.  I believe he must have made it with the head inquisitor (no pun intended)  Megan, oops, Meagon, did I get that right? Kelly.  At least that’s the way their little set to looked to me.

Don was fearless aiming well directed shots and timely blows to the ringmasters’ flailings.  Apparently he had to explain life to these dewlaps.  If you want to know Don’s methods study the life of that infamous bench sitter Bernard Baruch.  Bernie virtually controlled Frank Roosevelt.  FDR complained that Bernie owned 60, count ‘em, 60 congressmen.  They voted the way Bernie wanted.  Beginning to figure Congress out yet?

So when the Trumper explained the facts of life to the ringmasters that hell yes, when you give a million you expect something in return.  When Bob Dylan’s friend explained that everyone who gets something has to give something he reached in his pocket and felt with his thumb and gave her his very last piece of gum.  Everybody must give something for something they get.  Yeh, it just follows.

Then the lordly Don looked down the row and said: ‘All these gentlemen have come to me for contributions.  All those gentlemen shifted from foot to foot.

For the rest it was a wan crew, Marco Rubio did his Mickey Rooney act, Huckabee scored a great emotional high for knocking Obama’s ridiculous habit of calling Republicans terrorists.  Walker, from whom much was expected, proved disappointing.  Nice fellow but not the right timber.  He pledged no daylight between Israel and the US if elected.  A couple demerits for that from this quarter.

And then they brought in the clowns.  Some guy who claimed to be a pollster, polled twenty members of the audience and told them what to think and they made the appropriate noises.  Beep, beep.

Altogether it was great.  When the performers had left the ring and the crowd had trailed out the post-show compered by Sean Hannity was at least as good as the main show.  The performers removed, well, not blackface but darkface at least and gosh were they a whiter shade of pale. Ted Cruz didn’t look mestizo at all.

Trump of course was still the main attraction, this time handled with more deference by Hannity.  Don looks good, my only concern is how deferential will he have to be to those who lent him the money to get where he is.  Is there any light between them and him?

Remember, Louis B. Mayer got all the credit for MGM but look at the MGM logo.  A great big lion roars over a small Metro Goldwyn Mayer banner.  Lion in Yiddish is loewe and Loewe’s is the NYC company who controlled MGM and Louis B. Mayer.  I wonder if Don dances to the same ringmasters.
