Y'All Know What A Cracker Is, Don't Ya?

Y’All Know What A Cracker Is, Don’t Ya?

Just to clear up the meaning of the word ‘cracker’ used disparagingly in the Martin trial. The Negroes don’t understand or purposely misuse the term in a pejorative sense.

In nineteenth century US as well as England a cracker was the best of his kind.
Thus Cracker Jack of the caramel corn box was meant to be a ship shape sailor sailor ready for action. Cracker Jacks, that implied it was the best candy going.

Rather than being an insult the term is actually very complimentary.
